Helping Others
We remember Jesus' words 'Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me'.
This calls us to service of one another. In St. Teresa's, this happens in so many ways.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Throughout the week, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion take the Blessed Sacrament to those in are parish who are ill or too infirm to come to Church. In receiving Holy Communion, they continue to be part of our Parish Community.
St Vincent De Paul Society
Founded by Blessed Frederick Ozanam 175 years ago, the SVP continue to minister to the poor, lonely, mentally ill and those who just need a friend. Following in the example of St. Vincent de Paul, these dedicated members of the SVP help continue the ministry of Christ in our Parish today.
Legion of Mary
Inspired by the work and life of Frank Duff in Ireland, the Legion of Mary meet every Tuesday night after the evening Mass. After traditional Legion Prayers and recitation of the Rosary, they plan their activities for the week. These activities include the visiting of every home in our Parish, ensuring that the Word of God is alive and active always.
HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust
Each year some members of the Parish travel to Lourdes. Not just as ordinary pilgrims, but rather as special helpers. They assist children with special needs, learning difficulties and children who just need a break, to travel to Lourdes for a pilgrimage and holiday with memories that last. Filled with fun, laughter and faith, the week in Lourdes is a special time for all who travel, especially the Children.
