First Holy Communion

Dear Parents,

The time has come to enrol your child on the First Holy Communion programme, please do this be completing the form below and submitting before the deadline of Friday 6th March. Applications will not be accepted after this date.

The programme will commence on Saturday 21st March and run for a total of 4 sessions. All sessions will take place at St Teresa’s Church from 2:00pm – 3:30pm.  Please make sure your child arrives on time and is collected promptly at 3:30pm. Please see dates of remaining 3 sessions below.

Saturday 28th March, Saturday 4th April, Saturday 25th April.

Please bring with you to the first session on the 21st March a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate and £10 donation to over the costs of materials. (Please place your donation in an envelope with your child’s name on it).

Attendance at Mass and the sessions throughout the period of preparation is essential. A register will be taken. If for any reason your child is unable to attend the preparation session please email the parish office bristol.stteresa@cliftondiocese.com as soon as possible to let us know. Photographs may be taken during the sessions and used for display purposes.

Rehearsals

There will be 2 rehearsals which will take place on Saturday 30th May at St Teresa’s Church 2:00pm – 3:00pm and then 3:00pm – 4:00pm depending on which First Holy Communion Mass you have been allocated.

First Holy Communion Masses will take place on Saturday 13th June at St Teresa’s at 10:30am and 2:00pm and St Vincent’s on Sunday 14th June at 9:00am.

Further details regarding the First Holy Communion Masses willl be shared with you via email nearer the time.

I pray that your child welcomes this next step in their journey of faith and that they take part in each session with open arms and hearts as they prepare to meet Jesus for the first time in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Photography and filming is not permitted during the Mass, however there will be an official photographer on the day. We would like to share some of the photographs taken with the wider community via our parish website. Photographs will be of the service, including individual, group and family shots; parental permission for your child to be included in these photographs and published on the parish website is required.
